Sarah Wright
Heart Strong Fitness is owned and operated by Sarah Wright.
Sarah is a kinesiologist and clinical exercise specialist with ten years experience in the fitness and clinical exercise industry. She has a Bachelors of Science degree with a Major in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. Sarah's specific certifications include:
- American College of Sports Medicine Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist® and Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist ®
- Registered Kinesiologist with the BC Association of Kinesiologists
- Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology Certified Exercise Physiologist
- Member of the Canadian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation and the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Sarah has worked for the past five years in a government funded community based, supervised exercise program for people with chronic conditions in Calgary, Alberta. She also worked as a personal trainer at the Glencoe Club, one of Calgary’s most prestigious clubs.
In addition to her clinical experience, she has taken lifestyle coaching and functional strengthening courses. She is comfortable corresponding with your physician, physiotherapist, or other health professional about any concerns she has regarding your symptoms and about your progress.
Availability: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and occasional Saturdays
Personal Bio
Sarah grew up in Campbell River and has recently moved back to Campbell River with her family, bringing a wealth of experience to North Vancouver Island. She has trained as a national level competitor in waterskiing, has completed three triathlons and enjoys yoga, weight training and outdoor pursuits with her family. She realizes the meaning of a "busy schedule" as a working mom with twin boys. Her active lifestyle helps her to manage stress, feel strong, and maintain her energy level and health.

Ashley Cross
Ashley is a Certified Personal Trainer from the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology, holds a Sport Science Diploma from Douglas College and is working towards her degree of Athletic and Exercise Therapy from Camosun College.
Renata Spencer
Renata has her Human Kinetics degree from University of Windsor.
She has been a registered kinesiologist since 2007, and has been working in a variety of settings from training athletes specific running techniques and strengthening drills to designing programs and assisting spinal cord injured clients. She has experience in both aquatics and land based exercise programs.
She has been racing in triathlons since 2007, and just completed her first Marathon this October. She truly believes the body is an instrument made to for motion.
