my motivation to do exercise is my love for sports and total body fitness... I hate it when i easily get tired when i play basketball.. most definitely, i want to improve my speed, agility, strength, and prevent the tendencies of injuries.. However, with type 2 diabetes, exercise is like their insulin to manage their glucose level and feed their body tissues as well.. i am amazed with this kind of research because not all people are driven to do exercise because it requires part of your time and it's exhausting.. the measurement of the effectiveness are also interesting.. except that they use hemoglobin A1c as the secondary outcome.. i mean, isn't that test more used on monitoring whether a client have been religiously following his diabetic diet/regimen?.. just asking...

Thanks for your comment. A1C is a measurement of your overall blood glucose control - which includes the nutrition and the activity component. Exercise lowers your blood glucose after one bout of exercise, so if a person is exercising regularly, their blood glucose will be lower on the average day. Hope that makes sense!
